Genital Herpes and Sex
Whenever you hear the term herpes, you cannot help associating it with sex. Why not? Herpes is usually the end result of the sex, especially when one is not done in a safe manner, should we say by using condoms (although it’s not always the case).
Sex may not always result to herpes but herpes always comes from sex. This is because the act of transmission of the herpes simplex virus is only made possible through close contact with the infected region, usually the genitals, the mouth and the lips. The secretions of these regions during sexual activity play a great contributing role.
If this is the case, is there any possible way that we can do to avoid the embarrassing infection through sexual practices? The following discussion talks about the advantages and disadvantages of known genital herpes remedies.
Abstinence has been considered and claimed as the best way to stay away from herpes virus transmission. As you can see, with respect to the monks and those who have lived their lives in chastity; they are never exposed to these diseases.
But sad to note, not all of us can successfully follow their footsteps. In fact, more and more people, teenagers at that, are now engaged in sex, unsafely and irresponsibly.
The use of the antiviral agents too such as the famous Valaciclovir, along with other prescribed drugs just like the Acyclovir which are available in both oral tablet and solution form can only mean expenditures for the patients. The disease can somehow be eased, but mind the budget please.
Simple genital herpes treatments:It’s a good thing there are natural herpes remedies. These natural ways can be done through the use of organic products or observing natural practices. These activities usually include eating a balanced diet especially those foods rich in lysine; getting enough hours of sleep; practicing safe sex with the use of contraceptives, such as the most famous condoms and not resorting to multiple sexual partners; observing hygiene and proper sanitation at all times, etc.
However, some have claimed that there is really no safer sex. After all, the abovementioned options also do have some downsides. Condoms may break and the most intervening fact is that in times of herpes outbreak, any form of preventative products can barely contain the virus spread.
Although there are lots of “safer methods that you can do and prescription drugs” that you may use to bring down the chances of acquiring or transmitting the virus, as a responsible individual, you must know that you should choose your sexual partner. Know her better before engaging in any sexual act. Most of all, avoid having too many sexual partners.
It is also advisable that if you or your partner gets infected by the herpes simplex virus, try to avoid having sexual encounter with him or her. This may be difficult on your part; but it can surely redeem you as well as your partner from the great possibility of becoming one of the herpes victims. You have to remember, genital herpes sex is not there only for a while, but for a lifetime.
